KAMELOT: Vocal Recordings Half Done
August 2, 2004KAMELOT frontman Roy Khan has posted the following studio report at the band's official web site:
"Hi everybody! Just wanna give y'all a brief report from Wolfsburg, Germany. I'm in the middle of the vocal recordings these days, and everything is going great (of course :) . Half of the songs are now done, and I can assure you that you have something to look forward to. It's nice to be back. Weather is awesome over here, but we don't have too much time to really enjoy it. Wish we could, cause summer in Norway this year has sucked big time so far. I am going to finish all my main parts during this stay, and then come back one or two times towards the end of the production to round it up with the last details and check on the mixing process. We'll post a lot of pictures the next coming days, so stay tuned for more!" Photos from the vocal-recording sessions can be viewed at this location.
As previously reported, the follow-up to last year's "Epica" is tentatively due before the end of the year through SPV Records. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "March of Mephisto", "Nothing Ever Dies" and "Serenade". A Japanese tour will likely take place in December, to be followed by a European trek beginning in January 2005.
